The source code and
pre-built executables for ACGRACE are available from the Downloads
page.
- ACGRACE can be optionally built to include an external CORBA
interface and a CORBA interface to the Symbolic Nuclear Analysis
Package (SNAP). This requires version 4.0.4 of ORBacus, which is
free for non-commercial use from Object Oriented Concepts Inc.
- The following abbreviated instructions can be used to build
the code from source on a UNIX platform:
 | First gunzip and un-tar the acgrace-5.1.4A.tar.gz file.
This will create an acgrace-5.1.4A directory.
| Change to the acgrace-5.1.4A and run ./configure
| To include the CORBA extensions follow the directions
in README.NRCEXT.
| Run "make". This should build AcGrace and the
associated
utilites.
| (Optional) Run "make install" this will place the
executables and documentation in /usr/local/acgrace. The
destination can be easily changed by modifying the
Make.conf file.

To install the Windows 95/NT4.0 version, download
acgrace_5.1.4A_win32.exe to your PC and execute it to start the
installation process. You can start AcGrace from the Start menu
program group created during installation. Note: You must be
running an X-Server such as eXceed in order to run AcGrace.
To remove the software use the Control Panel "Add/Remove
Programs"
icon.

To install the pre-built versions on UNIX platforms, just gunzip
and un-tar the file to the desired installation directory
(/usr/local) and then add the {install_dir}/acgrace/bin directory
to your path variable.
(1)Note: Compaq version requires ORBacus shared
libraries located
in OB_LIBS directory to be included in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
